Abstract

In this workshop, we will present the dataset of Open University Pakistan to the participants. The dataset consists of millions of logs, with about a million average course enrollments each semester. There are around 180 thousand average student enrollments each semester.

Needs Analysis

In this workshop, we are going to present two big datasets, where the participants will have the opportunity to experience what real-world datasets look like (challenges). They will further design how to extract insights and how to visualize them.

Learning Objectives

Real-world dataset experience, visualizing data using relevant indicators.

Pre-activities

None.

Session Description

We will start with an introduction and then ask the participants to form groups and work on the challenges. Finally, they will be asked to present their work.
