About

The SIG TEL Curricula and Programs is a forum for discussion of Technology-Enhanced Learning education, research and development of curricula on the masters and doctoral levels and teaching approaches.

There is a wide variety of study programs on technology-enhanced learning and related topics in Europe and worldwide. In a recent study by Fominykh, Weidlich, Kalz, & Hybertsen (2022) a systematic analysis of master programs has resulted in 169 programs and the study identified some interesting insights into the similarity but also differences between curricula and programs. Furthermore, the EATEL summer school and the DETEL project have been a consolidated effort to further develop PhD Education in TEL in Europe (Pammer-Schindler et al., 2020). These initiatives have sparked some interest to intensify the collaboration between study programs in TEL, specifically in Europe but also worldwide. The SIG CUPTEL should become a forum to discuss curriculum (re-)design, module development, teaching and training approaches and to enable the exchange of staff and students between study programs.
