Post-PhD life is a topic that is often avoided by a lot of PhD candidates as it can all at once seems fuzzy, scary and far ahead. Career as a researcher and/or associate professor are the most common paths. Other alternatives exist. Entrepreneurship is a compelling one that is often overlooked out of lack of information or the common belief that research and entrepreneurship are not a natural combination. In this workshop, I’ll bring PhD candidates to think about the value of their hard work as a researcher and how that can be a strength for an entrepreneur.
