Soft-Skills Workshop

If you are in an early stage of your PhD, you may wonder how you can start being visible online, both to present yourself as researcher to others in TEL and to get to know other researchers and experts for networking, asking for advice during your research journey, or just to have a chat or a discussion around your research interests.

Although social media offer many possibilities in terms of connecting with others, finding the concrete niche for you could be hard when you do not know where to search or where to be, especially in general social networking sites. However, the right choice of spaces within could boost your online academic profile in terms of visibility and enables you to reach other researchers and experts.

The workshop aims at providing you with hands-on practice to start building an online identity and your personal learning network as researcher in general and academic social networking sites. Therefore, please bring your own laptop for hands-on practice.
