Pre-activities

The prerequisite for this workshop is an understanding of the need to collect and/or use personal data in compliance with EU laws.

 

Session Description

In the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to explore several real-life scenarios involving the collection and processing of personal data for research purposes in the TEL field. This interactive session aims to provide a practical understanding of certain aspects of GDPR application.
The discussion will cover the risks associated with GDPR violations for researchers and their research outcomes.
Additionally, attendees will receive information about reliable resources offering detailed descriptions and explanations of GDPR rules.
The workshop will be led by a lawyer and researcher with extensive experience in practicing GDPR law and advising businesses, research institutions, and individual researchers on GDPR compliance since its inception. This facilitator specializes in drafting GDPR consent forms, GDPR-compliant privacy policy sections, and more, ensuring adaptation of GDPR regulations to various contexts.
