Session Description
This workshop invites participants on a journey to explore the theoretical foundations of Design-Based Research (DBR) and gain insights into its typical workflow, including the methods employed across different phases. Designed to bridge theory and practice, the session provides an interactive space for participants to engage with DBR in the context of their own research alongside fellow participants. In the main part of the workshop, participants will apply DBR principles to their own use cases, refining their research designs, considering implementation workflows, and discussing their approaches with peers. Through this hands-on experience, they will develop a deeper understanding of DBR, enabling them to effectively integrate it into their research projects. This workshop is ideal for researchers interested in DBR and is especially recommended for PhD candidates in the process of formulating their research proposals.
