The hosting city of the Summer School 2025 is Rethymno, a charming town on the north coast of the Greek island of Crete. It combines the conveniences of a large city with the beauty of an old town.

Adele beach (Adelianos Kampos) is located in the homonymous suburb of Rethymno, about 7 km west of Rethymno Town. Ideal for swimming, the waters are calm and the shoreline shallow, making it a safe choice among vacationing families. The beach is fairly well-organized, with sunbeds and umbrellas readily available throughout. Visitors will also be pleased to find several beach showers, changing rooms, and toilets. The on-site beach bars offer refreshing cold drinks and various snacks, further facilitating a truly relaxing and convenient experience. The more adventurous types should fear not, though, as the local water activities center provides the chance to partake in various water sports, sure to satisfy your thrill-seeking needs. The Summer School will take place in the Aquila Rithymna Beach, a 5-star hotel located next to Rethymno on a 500m-long Blue Flag sandy beach.

The JTELSS 2025 participants will be hosted in cozy Double Rooms with garden views, which provide a peaceful escape for those seeking rest and rejuvenation. The summer school would be hosted in the conference rooms of the Aquila Rithymna Beach, featuring three versatile rooms designed for engaging learning experiences. The Megas Alexandros Hall (270 m²) accommodates up to 350 participants, offering a platform stage, podium, breakout rooms, and advanced audiovisual equipment for dynamic presentations. For smaller sessions, the Achilles Room provides a bright, intimate setting for up to 90 attendees. Additionally, a third meeting room is available for smaller groups of up to 50 participants, ensuring a comfortable and well-equipped space for focused discussions.
