🔎 Needs Analysis
The emerging technologies such as XR, Metaverse and AI are going to disrupt the educational landscape and the field of TEL in the years to come. According to the strategic documents issued by the EU Commission, e.g. communication on WEB 4.0 and virtual worlds, Europe will need virtual world & AI specialists to enable this transformation. The ethical challenges associated with integrating these technologies into educational practices are many and not very well understood. PhD candidates need to be able to address such challenges as a part of their TEL research career.
