Abstract

Artificial Intelligence technologies abound – most people at least in the Western world interact with AI-based technologies on a daily basis. In this webinar, we will talk about what artificial intelligence is, foundational concepts in artificial intelligence, and give examples where AI is also today already used in education. We will close the seminar by discussing the next challenges and barriers ahead in AI in education research.

Learning outcomes

After the course, participant PhD students will…

  • … understand fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence
  • … be able to give examples for usage of AI in education
  • … be able to discuss strengths, weaknesses, and challenges regarding AI in education that need to be solved in the next step towards better learning.
