Needs Analysis

The workshop will be valuable to educators, teachers, PhD students and anyone who is interested in using webAR as a teaching and learning tool.

It will equip you with practical skills in using Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance learning experiences and foster innovation in TEL.
AR opens a new realm of creative possibilities by blending the digital and physical worlds. It allows you to create interactive, immersive, and dynamic experiences that engage students and audiences in ways traditional media cannot.

This workshop provides an overview of the recent advances in WebAR, an easy-to-use online service, that enables you to create AR scenarios without any coding experience.

You can use WebAR to create many interesting and useful features such as animated 3D models, videos, images and sound effects to bring extra creativity and interactivity to your classroom and projects.

Learning Objectives
  • Understand the concept and benefits of WebAR as an educational tool.
  • Develop skills in creating AR elements for teaching and learning by gaining hands-on experience using WebAR.
  • Explore collaborative discussions and knowledge sharing among participants regarding their experiences and ideas for using AR in TEL.

Pre-activities

Participants must bring their own devices, such as laptops or tablets.
