LLM-based PCAs for Digital Competencies Development: from Workplace to Space

Saturday 17/05 16:00-17:30h
Workshop Space A
Session Description

The rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), into various contexts has created a need to explore their potential for enhancing the development of digital competencies. As workplaces increasingly demand adaptive, personalized, and engaging learning solutions, understanding how LLMs can dynamically tailor educational content and integrate innovative methodologies is critical for advancing both theoretical and practical approaches to technology-enhanced learning. Recent research has found that training and learning with pedagogical conversational agents (PCAs) based on generative AI can be effective and beneficial. The integration of such agents can be cost-efficient, enable self-directed learning, and potentially replace or complement human instructors in workplace settings, thereby enhancing e-learning experiences.
