Session Description

In higher education, teaching and learning are deeply intertwined, yet are often studied in isolation, limiting opportunities to improve student outcomes. Teaching artifacts, course structures, and instructional decisions influence student engagement and learning, but their impact on one another remains unclear without a comprehensive perspective.
This workshop emphasizes learning design as a structured and data-informed process to bridge gaps in education and demonstrates how intentional planning can improve student performance. Additionally, insights into the development of “FoLA | digital” will be provided, a tool designed to tackle these challenges by integrating pedagogical principles with a technological approach. A behind-the-scenes look at its creation demonstrates how theory is translated into practice.
The workshop illustrates how a combined focus on pedagogy, data, and technology can lead to a meaningful educational transformation.
