Session Description

Challenges in Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) include difficulties in monitoring and assessing student interactions, a lack of real-time feedback and intervention strategies, and the struggle instructors face when trying to effectively orchestrate group work. Learning Analytics (LA) plays a crucial role in addressing these issues by providing data-driven insights that enhance collaborative learning, enabling adaptive interventions for better classroom management, and fostering motivation, engagement, self-regulation, and improved learning outcomes through personalized feedback. There is a growing demand for practical implementation of these approaches, driven by an increasing interest in evidence-based teaching using analytics, the need for scalable and effective orchestration tools, and a lack of hands-on training opportunities for educators and researchers.
