This session is organized by the DETEL Erasmus+ project.  
DETEL is a strategic partnership among nine European universities and EATEL to reflect their expertise in doctoral education into a new study program in TEL, extended with rich and professionally produced OERs.

Abstract.

In the opening session, we will welcome all participants of the summer school! We will present the 16th EATEL summer school on Technology-Enhanced Learning in a historical perspective, which also explains the current structure and appearance of the event. This will lead us to the program of the 2022 summer school. We will introduce the six different types of sessions. We will continue with some logistical information, including the locations for the parallel workshop sessions, the schedule, and the health-and-safety measures.

The opening session will also include the information about the organization of the summer school, including the Organizing Committee, the DETEL EU project, and the University of Macedonia, who all contribute to the preparation and running of the event.
