Prof. Dr. ir. Tinne De Laet, full professor at the Faculty of Engineering Science, KU Leuven, has been dedicated to education and research since obtaining her doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven in 2010. Serving as the Head of Tutorial Services of Engineering Science, she focuses on the transition from secondary to higher education. Driven by a passion for advancing education, her research spans areas such as learning analytics, academic advising, self-regulation and metacognition in STEM, and study success of STEM students. With a commitment to a multi-disciplinary approach that combines artificial intelligence and educational sciences, Tinne De Laet aims to contribute significantly to the ethical and research-based evolution of AI and technology in education.
