Dr Stefano Zingaro is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Bologna. With a strong academic focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Dr Zingaro is mainly involved in the development of predictive models aimed at preventing early school leaving. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Trento in 2011 and a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Bologna in 2014, Dr Zingaro pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science, which was awarded by the University of Bologna in 2020. The Ph.D. research focused on the potential of service-oriented programming paradigms in large-scale distributed systems.

Dr Zingaro has contributed significantly to the body of knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering, with scientific papers published in international scientific journals and conference proceedings. Active involvement in various national and European research projects underlines his commitment to the advancement of the field.

In an educational capacity, Dr Zingaro organises and participates in international schools, seminars and conferences that promote intellectual discourse and collaboration in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
