María Victoria Soulé is a Spanish Language Instructor and Researcher at the Language Centre of the Cyprus University of Technology. She completed her BA in Classical Studies at the University of Barcelona, an MA in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, an MPhil in Spanish Applied Linguistics and a PhD in Applied Linguistics (Suma Cum Laude) from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), Spain. She was awarded for excellence in research with the UNED University Extraordinary Doctoral Prize (Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado) in 2016.

Her current research interests include (a) Classroom-based research: (a) The use of Technology Enhanced-Learning (TEL) and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), (b) Plurilingualism, and (C) Study abroad. She has published scientific articles in internationally acclaimed journals and has participated in research programs and academic conferences. In the last years she has been participating as a researcher in EU funded research projects: DC4LTDE-TEL, HEROVALIANT, COST actions SAREP and LITHME, and international funded projects: PAPIME (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) and Language Teaching Research Jeon-ra-buk-do (South Korea Department of Education, Science and Technology).
