Scholarships for PhD students

A limited amount of scholarships is available for PhD students to cover the cost of the summer school (EUR 590: 7-days early-bird package). The scholarships will be distributed based on the quality of the submitted proposals, phase of the PhD work, previously attended JTELSS events and other factors. In order to apply for the scholarship, please, answer “YES” to the corresponding question in the PhD student proposal form (See https://ea-tel.eu/jtelss/jtelss2018/cfp/). In order to participate in the competition for scholarships, please, submit a full PhD proposal before the deadline. The scholarships are sponsored by the European Association of Technology Enhanced Learning (EATEL https://ea-tel.eu/).

The EATEL decided to award the JTELSS18 scholarships to the following PhD students (in alphabetical order):

  • Liqin Zhang, Open University of the Netherlands
  • Paraskevi Topali, Universidad de Valladolid

The decisions have been taken based on several factors, including review scores, stage of the PhD projects, previously attended EATEL events, previously received EATEL scholarships, and diversity. The awarded PhD students will be granted a free registration to JTELSS18. Each scholarship covers an early-bird Phd-student package worth EUR 590, which includes accommodation and meals for 7 days, the social program and printed materials. The scholarship does not cover travel cost. These scholarships are funded by a special EATEL membership donation in memory of Martin Wolpers and Erik Duval.
