Biography:

In 2020 I obtained my master’s degree in computer science at the University of Toulouse. My master thesis, “Methods for Cyber Security event detection”, examined methods and systems to detect intrusions into distributed embedded systems at Thales AVS. During these studies, I developed a great interest in research, motivating me to pursue PhD studies. In 2021 I started my PhD focused on analyzing and improving situated collaboration through tools in small learning groups.

PhD project:

Our work is centred on the domain of mobile computer-supported collaborative learning (mCSCL). Previous works have shown the advantage of large interactive digital tools (e.g. interactive tables) over traditional tools to assist groups in collaborating. We strive to investigate the links between tool functionalities and collaborative processes in a mobile setting. To achieve this, we augment maps with smartphones placed on top that display functionality and information depending on their positions relative to the maps and investigate the effect on collaboration.
