Tanya Nazaretsky

Tanya Nazaretsky is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Machine Learning for Education Lab in the School of Computer and Communication Sciences at EPFL, Switzerland. She received her Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of Science, where her dissertation on learning analytics for personalized blended science learning received the John F. Kennedy Prize for Outstanding Doctoral Thesis. She is also a recipient of the Azrieli PhD Fellowship and a winner of the Schmidt Futures Learning Engineering Tools Competition.
Tanya’s research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, human-centered design, and teacher professional development. She develops AI-powered educational technologies and investigates teacher trust, agency, and pedagogically grounded integration of generative AI in STEM education.
