Current PhD Project
Adaptive learning technologies (ALTs) are increasingly being used in primary education. Although ALTs adapt math assignments to students’ performance, students are still responsible for monitoring and controlling their learning requiring better self-regulated learning (SRL) skills. Teachers play an important role in supporting students’ SRL. Thus, we aim to develop teacher dashboards to help teachers monitor students’ SRL in this project. We will develop and subsequently test a teacher dashboard giving the teacher insight into the state of SRL of the class. We expect this will enable the teacher to provide better explicit strategy instruction that may support students’ SRL.
