Current Ph. D. Project

The Ph. D. project is entitled An Empathic Pedagogical Conversational Agent and Development of Competencies: A Quasi-Experimental Mixed Methods Research. The main goal is to understand the adaptive learning articulated by an empathic PCA and its impact on the development of computer and research competencies. Professors are the main beneficiaries because they will know whether there is a relationship between the three variables of the framework to evaluate the learning outcomes of empathic PCAs (learning outcomes, learning performance, and student perceptions) and whether there are significant differences in learning performance. These issues are relevant to understanding how PCA works in the online learning environment.
