My name is Simon Lecuyer–Chardevel and I’ve been a PhD student at Grenoble Alpes University in the Computer Science Laboratory since October 2023. I studied physical education and then spent three years supporting teachers in higher education as an educational engineer. My doctoral research focuses on the regulation of learning in computer-assisted collaborative learning situations in higher education. The aim is to understand the individual and collective factors that influence regulation behavior, mainly during the planning and evaluation phases. My research is funded by the PEPR “eNSEMBLE” program.
PhD project : Blended learning and collaborative learning are two trends in higher education that highlight the need for better student regulation of learning.
This PhD thesis focuses on the relationship between individual and collective regulation in computer-assisted collaborative learning situations. Our aim is to characterize the factors that influence individual and collective forms of activity regulation, particularly during the planning phase. To this end, we design online tools to support these processes, and observe students’ behaviors during case studies in teaching situations. The tools are instantiated and tested within LabNbook, a web-based platform for learning the experimental approach.
