Mia Čarapina

Mia Čarapina is a Professional Studies Professor at Zagreb University of Applied Sciences, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate professional study programs in computer science and informatics. She is responsible for courses in introductory programming, software engineering and project-based software development, as well as mobile application development.

She holds a PhD in Graphic Technology. In her work, she explores how digital technologies can meaningfully support teaching and learning across different educational contexts. Her research interests include mobile learning, computer-supported collaborative learning, human-computer interaction, and fostering computational and algorithmic thinking among preschool and primary school children. She is the author of numerous scientific and professional publications in these areas. She leads and participates in numerous projects aimed at promoting STEM among children and students.

She serves as an editor of Chapters in Education and as a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (ijCSCL), and participates in the programme committees of numerous educational technology conferences.
